Musiken har tystnat på Gödsvinet. Vår distanskurs “Sånger om sprit” verkar ha tagit ett sabbatsår och vi har inte sett några reportage från Kungliga Operan på länge nu. Så låt mig berätta lite om vad jag har lyssnat på idag. Det har varit ännu en dag med intensivt skrivarbete här hemma i örnnästet i Vällingby och en sådan situation kräver upplyftande toner. I ett uppenbart rop efter vägledning sökte jag på ordet “Jesus” i min samling av mp3-filer. Jag fann 45 stycken som hade ordet “Jesus” i titeln, vilket, givet att jag är praktiserande ateist sedan födseln, får anses som mycket. Det blev i min mening en riktigt anständig spellista, de religiösa övertonerna till trots. Här är de 20 bästa låtarna från listan, utan rangordning eller någon annan ordning:

Det glädjer mig att se två Kinky Friedman låtar. “Jesus wants me for a sunbeam” är dock bättre i Vaselines orginal-version.
Två låtar som definitivt borde varit med är Ministry’s “Jesus built my hotrod” och Terry Allens “Give me a ride to heaven boy”. Fast där är ju inte namnet med i titeln förstås. Däremot är det rätt frekvent förekommande i texten…

Tack för det, jag kände på mig att det här ämnet skulle engagera. Håller med om Jesus don´t want me for a sunbeam men jag var tyvärr begränsad till det som fanns på datorn och originalet var inte där. Hade dock Ministry, av någon anledning, kom inte med på topp 20.
